The R-31 CB shares many of the features and qualities of her smaller sisterships, but notable additions make her ideal for extended cruising while remaining a trailerable trawler. The R-31 CB was the first Ranger Tug to feature a flybridge with electronic controls at both the upper and lower helm — and that flybridge retracts so the 31′ can still be towed. The foredeck is equipped with seating and a raise-and-lower table for entertaining under way or at anchor. The cockpit adds wraparound seating plus fold-out gunwale seats that tuck away when not in use. Inside, two staterooms — a forward island berth with en-suite head and a midship berth with day head — pair with the familiar Ranger Tugs galley and lower helm layout. A starboard side door from the lower helm gives the crew quick access to the side decks for line handling. Standard bow and stern thrusters and a 320 HP Volvo D4 diesel inboard deliver a 16-knot cruise speed turn-key from the factory.
